Doug Chu

Doug leads our Capital Markets Advisory practice on the West Coast, with over 20 years of investment banking, stock exchange and capital markets advisory experience. Doug is based in Silicon Valley and has advised on billions of dollars of financings and strategic transactions including IPOs, carve-outs, equity and equity-linked financing, private placements, M&A, leverage buyouts, bank and bond financing, SPACs and structured products. Doug’s experience encompasses a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on Technology.

Prior to PwC, Doug was a technology investment banker with Credit Suisse for 9 years and Co-Head of Listings at the New York Stock Exchange for 9 years. He has also been Head of Business Development at Figure Technologies (a fintech blockchain startup), a corporate banker at Bank of America and an aerospace engineer at McDonnell Douglas Corp.

Doug received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from MIT, his M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, and his MBA from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He has written a Masters thesis and is published in academic journals in the field of computational fluid dynamics software.

Brandi Roberts

Brandi Roberts has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Longboard Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (LBPH) since January 2021.  Ms. Roberts has more than 25 years of public accounting and finance experience, including 22 years at publicly traded pharmaceutical, medical technology, and life science companies. Previously, Ms. Roberts served as Chief Financial Officer of Lineage Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NYSE: LCTX) from January 2019 to January 2021. Prior to joining Lineage, she served as Chief Financial Officer of REVA Medical, Inc. Ms. Roberts previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Mast Therapeutics, Inc. from January 2013 to April 2017, and as its Senior Vice President, Finance, from March 2011 to January 2013. Previously, she held senior positions at Alphatec Spine, Inc., Artes Medical, Inc., Stratagene Corporation, and Pfizer, Inc. Ms. Roberts currently serves as Chair of the Southwest Chapter of the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers and serves on the boards of TFF Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Temple Therapeutics BV. Ms. Roberts is a certified public accountant with the State of California and received her B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and her M.B.A. from the University of San Diego.

Caitlin Wege

Caitlin is the Executive Chair at Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited, and its sister company, Glasshouse Pharmaceuticals. She serves on the board of Neuralace Medical and Pumpspotting Inc. In addition to her corporate leadership roles, she is a partner at MooDoos Investments, a private family-owned investment fund that invests in early-stage companies throughout the US and Canada. MooDoos is industry agnostic and invests in several industries including life sciences, manufacturing, and education technology.

Caitlin is also President of NuFund Venture Group. NuFund is one of the largest Angel networks in the US. She is also a Trustee, finance committee member and Chair of the Governance Committee for the Wege Foundation, an environmentally-focused family foundation based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a board member of The Ecology Center, in Orange County and serves as a mentor and advisory board member for the ZIP Launchpad, the business accelerator at San Diego State University. Caitlin is passionate about fostering entrepreneurial and investor education and learning.
