Simon R. Croom, Ph.D. FCIPS CPSM MBPsS

Dr. Simon Croom is a Distinguished University Professor at the University of San Diego (USD), CA, USA and a Visiting Professor at Cranfield University and Warwick Business School in the UK.

He has a Ph.D. in Business and Master’s degrees in both Psychology and in Management Science.

After 12 years in management and running his own successful business, he has spent the last 30 years in academia researching, teaching and advising on purchasing and supply chain management. He is currently researching psychopathy in executives, sustainable business practices and world-class supply chain operations.

He was previously a Research Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), Chair of the Institute for Supply Management’s (ISM) Education committee and advisor on procurement to the UK Government’s Office of Government Commerce (OGC). He consults with a few corporations in both strategic development and executive leadership.

Jill Donoghue

Jill Donoghue has spent her career as a Supply Chain Professional, working primarily in the CPG industry.  Currently, Jill is the Vice President of Supply Chain at Bumble Bee Seafoods, North America’s largest branded shelf-stable seafood company, where she is responsible for customer service, warehousing, transportation and global planning.

Prior to Bumble Bee, Jill worked in various supply chain roles at Keebler Foods, Pechiney Plastic Packaging and Kraft Foods.

Jill received her BS in Business from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her MBA in Operations from DePaul University in Chicago.  She is a member of CSCMP and currently serves on the Board of the Supply Chain Management Institute at the University of San Diego.

Mary Long

Mary is a Board Advisor, Lecturer, writer, and international speaker. She has built an extensive career leading supply chains for companies including Campbell’s Soup, General Mills, Pillsbury, Quaker Oaks/Gatorade, and most recently, as the VP of Logistics and Network Planning at Domino’s. Her responsibilities at Domino’s spanned global supply chain and engineering roles.

Three outcomes have characterized her work:

• Better data analytics capabilities and insights
• More agile and customer-focused supply chains
• Stronger leaders and teams

In 2017, Mary made a leap from industry into academia and is now a Lecturer and Managing Director of the Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI) in the Business School of University of San Diego.

She has served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and serves on the advisory boards for AWESOMEleaders.org, ALAN (American Logistics Aid Network), and Hassett Logistics.

She has recently co-authored a white paper and serves on the editorial board for Supply Chain Management Quarterly and as a reviewer for the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Procurement. Mary has an undergraduate degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Cleveland State University and an MBA in Operations and Logistics from The Ohio State University.
