Mike Oclaray is a Consulting Director in Willis Towers Watson’s Executive Compensation practice. Based in Los Angeles, he specializes in the review and design of compensation programs for executives and outside board members. He works with organizations to:

■ Clarify the executive compensation strategy
■ Develop the performance measurement framework that supports the business strategy
■ Design cash- and equity-based incentive programs in support of that framework
■ Evaluate the alignment of executives’ realizable pay with corporate performance
■ Consider implications of shareholder adviser guidelines and regulatory developments on the governance of executive pay programs.

As part of that role, he led a cross-functional team that redesigned the company’s stock incentive program in light of the FASB’s share-based compensation accounting initiative (i.e., ASC 718).

Willis Towers Watson’s Rewards line of business advises organizations on a broad array of compensation-related matters: executive compensation, broad-based employee compensation, salesforce effectiveness and compensation, compensation software and compensation data.

He also serves as a frequent speaker and panelist on executive pay and performance measurement matters.
