  • Dr. Enoch Kariuki
    Dr. Enoch Kariuki
    President, Endeavor Biomedicines

    Dr. Enoch Kariuki is a life sciences executive with deep experience building, financing, and scaling biotechnology companies. Over the course of his career, he has led more than $10 billion in strategic financings, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and company exits across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

    He currently serves as President of Endeavor BioMedicines, where he leads corporate strategy and helps guide the advancement of novel therapies for patients with serious unmet medical needs.

    Previously, Dr. Kariuki served as Chief Executive Officer of Lengo Therapeutics, which was acquired by Blueprint Medicines, Chief Financial Officer of VelosBio, which was acquired by Merck & Co., and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Synthorx, where he led the company’s initial public offering and helped execute its subsequent acquisition by Sanofi.

    Dr. Kariuki currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Zentalis Pharmaceuticals and Pheon Therapeutics, where he chairs the Audit Committees of both organizations. His prior board service includes Imago BioSciences and ProfoundBio, which were subsequently acquired by Merck & Co. and Genmab, respectively.

    Earlier in his career, Dr. Kariuki was a Vice President at H.I.G. Capital, where he invested in and advised life sciences companies on growth strategy and strategic transactions. He began his career in healthcare investment banking at UBS and Leerink Partners, advising biopharmaceutical companies on capital markets strategy, financing, and corporate development.

    Dr. Kariuki earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Southern University, an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in R&D Strategy and Analytics at Bristol Myers Squibb.

    Ken represents emerging and late-stage private companies and public companies in a wide range of corporate and securities matters, including private financings, public offerings, M&A, tender offers, strategic collaborations, commercial agreements, corporate governance matters, and employment and compensation arrangements. He also advises venture capital firms in connection with financings and other transactions. In the last five years, he has represented companies and venture capitalists in more than 50 private financings and helped clients achieve an aggregate of $6 billion+ in successful exit transactions. Ken serves as both partner in charge and head of the corporate practice for Cooley’s San Diego office.

    Ken is counsel to companies and venture funds in diverse industries, with a focus in life sciences, medtech and technology. His clients range from startups to public companies with hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue – and include companies such as ARS Pharmaceuticals, Avalon Ventures, BlueNalu, Design Therapeutics, Epigenomics, Janux Therapeutics and Regulus Therapeutics.
