Corporate Directors Forum Institute

Corporate Directors Forum Institute (CDF Institute) is the public benefit arm (501c3) of Corporate Directors Forum and houses public educational programs and research focused on our mission to build effective corporate governance on company boards and foster modern leadership practices among executives and board leaders. 

Currently the CDF Institute houses three major programs.

Directors Summit

Directors Summit is our annual conference which takes place each February in downtown San Diego.

The conference attracts board members and c-suite leaders from across industries to gain insights on new approaches to navigate leadership from the top, manage disruptive technology, consider risk,and exchange candid views on what is working with peers and experts. The conference addresses issues like activism inside and outside the boardroom, the global economy, and the future of modern leadership.

Diversity Dialogue

In partnership with KPMG Board Leadership Center

In 2024, we launched Diversity Dialogue. The program convenes corporate directors, executives, and leaders committed to advancing diversity and inclusion at the top of corporate America. This event showcases researchers, advocates, and directors working to build board diversity. The project aims to promote diversity best practices among committed board members and c-suite leaders.

Avenue to the Boardroom

In partnership with REF San Diego 

Avenue to the Boardroom mentors and supports aspiring directors. The program partners with REF San Diego bringing their expertise in leveraging the power of peers. REF (formerly Renaissance Executive Forums) is a global leader in peer forum experiences.
