Christopher L. TinenPartner & Co-Leader, Capital Markets and Securities, ProcopioChristopher focuses on corporate and securities law representing public and private companies handling all aspects of securities law compliance, startup formation, and a wide array of financings including registered offerings, PIPEs and venture financings. He has represented a wide range of technology startups in Silicon Valley and San Diego, and is the leader of Procopio’s Capital Markets and Securities practice. Chris earned his BS in Finance at San Diego State University, with distinction in 2008, and his JD at Chapman University School of Law in 2011.

Paul B. JohnsonPartner, Co-Leader, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Joint Ventures ProcopioAs Co-Chair of Procopio’s M&A and Strategic Joint Ventures team, Paul helps entrepreneurs and their investors get companies formed, funded and sold, including initial formation of corporations and LLCs, negotiation of seed, early and mid-stage equity financings, and buy and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. He is also adept at venture capital investments, public and private securities offerings, and compliance and general business counseling.
Paul has also counseled some of San Diego’s most successful companies in Securities and Exchange Commission compliance and general corporate governance. He was the BNY Mellon M&A Advisor of the Year 2016 and 2017 and holds a Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent Lawyer Rating.
