    Jay Hawkins
    Senior Economist, The PNC Financial Services Group

    Jay Hawkins is vice president and senior economist for The PNC Financial Services Group. In his role, he is primarily responsible for analyzing U.S. national and regional economic trends.

    Prior to joining PNC in August 2024, he was a senior economist at BMO specializing in U.S. national and regional economic analysis and was previously the principal U.S. Economist at Visa for approximately 10 years.

    Hawkins earned is Master of Arts in applied economics from the University of Central Florida with a concentration in public sector economics, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

  • Lynlee Brown
    Lynlee Brown
    Partner at Ernst & Young – Global Trade

    Lynlee Brown is a Partner in Ernst & Young LLP’s Global Trade practice in San Diego, California. She provides services related to strategic planning to manage duty costs and global trade compliance. She advises businesses on import, export and international trade issues, including counseling companies on global export and import regimes, tariff and indirect tax strategic planning as well as international acquisitions and expansions.

    Lynlee has a particular emphasis on customs valuation, including implementing first sale for export, transfer price planning for customs purposes, and planning for duty reduction and recovery programs as well as supply chain restructurings.

    Lynlee has deep experience with consumer products/retail companies as well as technology companies, particularly around duty mitigation and de-risking supply chains. She spends significant time with clients in the automotive, industrial products and life sciences industries as well.

    Before coming to EY, Lynlee was the import/export and international logistics manager at Denso Wireless Systems America.

    Lynlee recently co-authored the US chapter in Global Trade and Customs: A Practical Compendium of Major Jurisdictions (International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, 2020).

  • Kirti Gupta
    Kirti Gupta
    Vice President & Chief Economist, Cornerstone Research; Former Chief Economist, Qualcomm

    Kirti Gupta is an engineer and economist specializing in technology; intellectual property (IP) issues such as standard essential patents (SEPs) and fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory (FRAND) licensing; and antitrust. Dr. Gupta addresses class certification, breach of contract claims, licensing, and damages in IP matters, and liability and damages issues in antitrust matters.

    Dr. Gupta provides economic and statistical consulting, analysis, and expert testimony in complex business litigation. Her expertise in the technology sector spans engineering, supply chain, litigation, and policy issues. She serves as a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Washington, DC-based think tank, and as a research director at the University of California, Berkeley.

    Before joining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Gupta was the vice president and chief economist at Qualcomm Inc., a global leader in mobile communications and semiconductors.
